Bad news: If your Search Pin is close to the state boundaries but you did not yet follow the guidance above, Lyft will still assign you scheduled pickups in another state and may also prompt you to go ONLINE for that ride.
However, when you try to go ONLINE the Lyft app will PREVENT you from doing so, saying you're not allowed to! (ᓀ︵ᓂ)
Unfortunately, Skeddy has nothing to do with that: we don't have any control over the rides assigned to you by Lyft.
