We're currently in process of developing the Chain Trips feature.
You all know that while en-route you might get another ride based on the drop-off time and location of your current ride.
The approach itself is great but the problem with it is that the en-route time interval is not enough for Skeddy to search. As a result, the occasions of a concatenating ride are too rare.
To improve the feature, we implement searching for concatenating rides in advance: just as soon as the initial Pin-based ride has been discovered.
As a result, the chain trips will be constructed in advance, so the drivers will start getting more rides, which are based on the drop-off times and locations of the basic rides originated from Pins.
The below look & feel is proposed for Chain Trips:
- The "two links" icon represents the existence of a chain based on the initial ride.
- The number next to it (3) shows how many rides are there in the chain.
- The drop-down arrow on the initial ride allows you to look through the rides in the chain.
- The $$ amount ($141) on the initial ride shows the payout for the whole chain.
We welcome everybody to share your opinions and ideas in regards.
Best regards,
Skeddy
